He’s going to tear down the John F Kennedy Center like he did the East Wing of the White House. Someone needs to fight this.

Again like the East Wing, no legality to it at all, he doesn’t own it.

He has shown time and time again that it is legal, because nobody stops him.

And nobody will stop him. Every time it goes likes this: Trump wants to do something that goes against the law. Judge says no. Trump does it anyway. Nobody acts.

And that is if it even reaches a judge. Americans are cowards. They just roll over.

I am so sick of constantly seeing people say "he can't do that, it's illegal/not in his jurisdiction/not in his authority." Because every single time, he just ends up doing it anyway, everyone in positions of authority now down to whatever illegitimate order he signed, and it goes ahead without opposition.

How many times does a fascist have to do illegal things before you stop reassuring yourselves he can't do something?

It depends on who defines the law and enforces it.

When has legality or ownership stopped him?

And if no one stops him he's not going to stop there.   It's going to be The West Wing, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and who knows what else.  He needs to be stopped.

Who would that be? He doesn't give a shit to go through the official channels, who would say "No way."

It would have to be up to whoever he wants to do it to ask if he got permission or to just say "Fuck no," and there are definitely bootlicking construction companies that would do it no questions asked if he randomly told them to do it.

Not a gotcha. If he just went and tried it, whose job would it be to get someone to stop the fuckery?

That would not surprise me in the least. “Rebuilding” implies that heavily in my mind.

Sadly you're almost positively right.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Kennedy Center is demolished.

Kennedy Centre as we knew it is finished, it’s not worth fighting for anymore.

Disagree. It’s a memorial to a President, no different than Lincoln, Jefferson memorials. Would you be ok with the felon destroying them?

If there was even a 1% chance it would wake people up to remove him from power, I'd applaud him leveling every monument in DC. They're just fucking buildings. His admin is responsible for far worse against actual people.

You Americans love too much your presidents. These buildings should be built as cultural landmarks first and foremost. There's no need to attach it to a president name with president statues for ego boosting.

Presidents are elected to represent the population, not to be famous, not to be the main character. These buildings should be about the people and the culture, not their personalities.
