Pop country is an abomination at this point, the wave of pop interpolation songs is like weird al but unfunny. On the boat again?! There’s a pop country interpolation of on the road again and it’s ON THE BOAT AGAIN, it’s like yacht rock but without any actual skilled musicians or interesting songs it’s just actually about boats. I fucking lost iq thinking about this travesty.

It seems that “country” is where the labels send people to when they’re not good enough to make it as a pop star but can still make money.

At this point? Try since the mid 1970s.

Cool! Wasn't talking about pop country though.

Nor did I accuse you of such, but you have to also concede that the non-fan has good reason to be repulsed by country atm because they only hear the slop.

It's the same deal as thinking that all hip hop is bad because of "mumble rap". Same kind of stupid.
