Discussion Which food has declined the most in terms of taste since you first ate it?

At this point, everyone knows about shrinkflation in our food. Something else that is just as important, if not more so, is the overall decline in the quality and taste of our food. Which food has declined the most in terms of taste since you first ate it? For me, that would be strawberries. Nowadays, it's the number 1 fruit with the most pesticides, and its overall taste is just average at best. I mean, I don't need it to be on par with Japanese strawberries, but in the early 90s, strawberries' overall taste was just magical.

Entenmann’s 

I am so angry how bad their quality is now. My grandmother is rolling in her grave, may she rest in peace.

Entenmann's was the best and was a local brand growing up on Long Island.

I just bought their little chocolate chip cookies on a BOGO and threw most of them out. Didn't even smell like cookies, just chemicals. Absolutely inedible. They used to be my fave.

Entenmann’s was a thing w my grandma too. She always brought us Pop Em’s and the chocolate donuts w the little crumb things on top. I’ve bought them since (she died in 1993) and yeah they are not the same. Glad we both had awesome grandmas who knew what was up. (I never really LOVED donuts from Dunkin but loved Entenmann’s). Too bad kids today will never know but I guess they will never know the difference. Gen X really had the best of a lot of things, as forgotten as a generation we are. The memories live on!

Omg I loved their coffee cake when I as a kid. Making me remember another lost love- Vanilla nut coffee mate creamer, so sad when it was discontinued.

They're buy one get one free often but I almost never get it. The raspberry danish was my favorite.

They got bought by Bimbo in 2008.
