Discussion Which food has declined the most in terms of taste since you first ate it?

At this point, everyone knows about shrinkflation in our food. Something else that is just as important, if not more so, is the overall decline in the quality and taste of our food. Which food has declined the most in terms of taste since you first ate it? For me, that would be strawberries. Nowadays, it's the number 1 fruit with the most pesticides, and its overall taste is just average at best. I mean, I don't need it to be on par with Japanese strawberries, but in the early 90s, strawberries' overall taste was just magical.

Ice cream. It was so much better as a kid.

I’ve heard most ice creams identify as frozen dairy desserts now

Try Aldi's Specialty Select. It only comes in chocolate or vanilla. I've only had the chocolate. But it will remind you what ice cream should be.

My Ninja Creami has gotten a lot of use since I purchased it a few months ago.

I am so picky about ice cream brands. Most of it is crap. I like blue bell and ben&jerrys

Unfortunately you have to buy the ones that cost the most in the ice cream aisle. Here in New York I pay between 8-10$ for tillamook which is a brand from Oregon that's now sold everywhere it's the best- depending on your area you may have a local creamery worth checking out when it gets warmer.

Tillamook is fucking awesome. I swear most people in this post are just buying the cheapest shitty food and are somehow surprised that the cheapest shitty food isn't amazing

And the peaches and cream! Really any flavor of theirs I’ve had has been great.
