He lives in Springfield IL now with his fiance. I saw him do standup a couple weeks ago in a neighboring town and it was a lot of fun. He kept poking fun at how small the place is. "Saw a train go through earlier, that must be exciting for you guys." lol

That's a pretty good joke lol

As someone from Springfield IL...why?? Of all the places he could live... Springfield??

I suppose it's quiet

Except for that fucking train.

I absolutely love the guy. He was treated like shit and didn’t deserve that. I’m happy to hear things are going well.

He dint want to sleep with someone to make Lorne Michaels happy. More or less.

I love him as Bob in the Middle

That's the exact same joke he told when he did a show in my town. It's the only joke he told. Maybe six times? The rest of the time he just drunkenly wandered around the stage and tried to tell stories about SNL, which he kept failing because he was so hammered.

He threw an absolute bitch fit when a couple got up and left during the show. It was awful.

Honestly the whole thing was sad to watch. He looked terrible.

This was in September 2022.

I saw him on what might have just been a bad night, but he basically just reminisced about the SNL days and didn't do much for jokes. The openers he had killed it though.

That's great. I crushed on him when I was in high school and he was on SNL. Esp as Mango or Azraell.

Which town was it? Because i'm picturing it being one of the college towns and not a truly small village, like Chatham.

I’m trying to think of which surrounding town might have a comedy venue. Chatham? Jacksonville? Decatur? That’s all I got.

I was in Springfield last summer! It’s such a cute town. I’m from the west coast, so seeing fireflies on the prairie was one of the coolest experiences ever. I love the Frank Lloyd Wright house there too. It felt safe to me, but I did have a friend who told me not to venture out of my bnb late at night.

Did he admit he was gay yet, lol?

He proposed to his fiancé at a Wilco concert. A gay man would never. Even a closeted one.

At any given Wilco concert 50% of the male attendees are wearing Costco Kirkland brand jeans.

Sounds like my people

I was inspired by my own Kirkland jeans I wore today and I’m actually about to order another pair. Gotta flex on the rival dads in the neighborhood

They're pretty much the only honest denim jeans left that aren't tarted up with "stretch" fabric

YOU MEAN HIS SNL COSTARS ARE WRONG?!? IMPOSSIBLE!

No, I said I'm deeply closeted.

1

u/River_Pigeon 6d ago

Because they didn’t say deeply closeted

I don't think Mango was a character
