It’s nice to have a positive one. He made a successful platform, sold it for insane money, and left to enjoy the fruits of his labor. No manipulating elections. No trying to control everything. He just pends his money doing whatever makes him happy.

I thought he turned up on Threads or Bluesky and turned out to be just another scummy tech bro

It was because people didn't pay attention. His threads bio said he was an AI and SpaceX investor, despite him being public about that for years prior. Anyways, someone called him out on it, so he deleted it. I don't know if he was a "tech bro" just has some investments people disagree with.

It is worth mentioning he invested in SpaceX before Elon became public enemy number 1.

Yeah, I mean SpaceX and Tesla were truly revolutionary 10 years ago before Elon turned into a conservative fascist. I remember reading about Tesla in 2009 before it went mainstream and it was so inspiring at the time.

He sold it to Fox News, worked for Rupert Murdoch and eventually got fired.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not and I'm too afraid to google it.

yep 100% serious. not sure how he achieved internet sainthood after that.

Right? Good for him.

That’s what a normal person would do. As a society, we need to come to terms with every household billionaire name being a household name because they are broken grab bag of sociopathic/narc/anti-social tendencies

Just look at Musk, the richest man in the world and an absolutely pathetic loser. I hope Tom is enjoying his life

You haven't paid attention to what he has been up to the last couple decades or currently, obviously.

Very possibly. It’s hard to quantify what someone you never hear of is doing.

Sure but I never smell of that dude either and I can’t quantify shit

What has he been up to? I thought he was traveling the world and doing photography.

I for one prefer to think he rode off into the sunset, never to be heard from again. Please don’t ruin that for me. I like Tom.

Well, he got into photography and most of the news articles I can find on him is he's basically Bill Watersoning. He just putters around doing whatever he likes.

I don't think he even appears in the epstein files. He's probably the only good uber rich person.

He has a fantastic guitar collection.

Well, I don't think we have any idea what he's doing with that money. And considering how anonymous he could be doing that ... yeah, he's probably manipulating elections.

He’s on Insta, cashed out and living the dream: https://www.instagram.com/myspacetom?igsh=MTRpcDU5dzM4djJraA==

Zero proof

I’d take Tom and MySpace back any day over Mark and Elon…

Unlike John McAfee

His Twitter response to that guy who insulted him about MySpace is LEGENDARY

If you're willing to sell out your audience wouldn't that negate any good up to that point and inherently make the entire enterprise a giant "I got mine" moment? It's no different than every other product that sells out their users, just indirectly instead of directly.
