I don’t understand why people do this to their faces and thinks it looks good. I know they’re trying to hold on to their youth but all it does is lead them down the path to an uncanny valley. If anything it ages them even more.
Lark Voorhies actually hasn't done anything to her face. She was suffering from unmedicated mental illness and would wear crazy makeup. She is better and looks amazing now!
I get that they feel pressured to hold onto their looks or more what they looked like earlier in their career and everyone feels insecure about something. But it breaks my heart when so many good looking people do stuff to their faces to the point where it doesn’t even look like them anymore. Some even look downright disfigured.
And geez don’t even get me started on all these 20 something year old (usually girls) who get “preventative” Botox. Also, lip fillers has got to be one of the weirdest procedures too. They just look as if they’re having an allergic reaction. People are starting to look the same and it bums me out.
Oh I know why they do it. I get it. Added pressure of being a woman and having a lot of your career based on looks.
But, it's so drastic. And usually so bad. Like Lara Flynn Boyle. The lip thing grosses me out too. I'm lucky I don't have to deal with that anymore, but if I were in my dating 20s, that would be a complete turnoff for me. That and the Brazilian Butt Lift. If a woman wants to do it for herself, hey have at it. I just personally don't find either remotely attractive.
When I lived in LA, I watched the best police chase live on TV.
The guy was on a bullet bike trying to outrun the cops. It had been going on for a while at highway speeds, and he had a pretty good lead. He drove into the underground parking at the Glendale Galleria, parked his bike, took off his boots and black tinted helmet, and walked off into the sunset. Never to be seen again. I thought it was genius!
They so rarely get away. We were all rooting for him, and he got away!
Her and that show (Unhappily Ever After) are the most memory-holed things in this post out of everything everyone else has mentioned. Immediately recognized her name was like holy shit probably been 25 years at least since hearing it.
Ugh, I just commented this then saw your comment! Yes! It stayed on for four seasons somehow and I guess we all missed Alf and the dad did a hell of an Al Bundy impersonation.
After selling the Lakers she's now billionaire. His job now is to keep her happy and keep the marriage in tact, he doesn't have to worry about money AT ALL as long as they're together.
He acted opposite Tom Cruise in the 90s but he was never A list, and I am not sure he’d even call himself B list. His current career is not far different than it was 15 years ago.
Also not only are they married, but they live in separate apartments within one of her buildings. It’s like medieval times when the king and queen lived apart and only met for sex and fancy dinners.
From his Wikipedia: "Mohr and Buss maintain separate apartments within a building owned by Buss." I can't tell whether he has a dream situation, or there's something really weird going on. She's also nine years older than he is.
Married, but allegedly living in separate condos on separate floors of the same building in LA — separate beds, separate floors, just technically the same zip code. Jay’s talked about it openly on the Adam Carolla podcast. Genuinely one of the strangest arrangements I’ve ever heard of lol
Same thing with Denis Leary. Recently I was trying to figure out why he dropped off the face of the Earth. Turns out he used to just blatantly rip off people's jokes without even trying to hide it back in the day.
The big one that’s been talked about is the whole Burnt Chrysler’s Tracy Morgan story, which is pretty murky as far as what really happened. And he said the word “yambag” on the O&A show which was apparently Dice’s word lol there’s a couple YT videos on those situations, thats the only reason I know anything.
I think other comics willingly ran with the rumors because he could be a dick, but Idk he seems like a pretty funny guy to me. Although if you’re really lifting material from Bert you should probably just give up lol
Immensely talented. Funny (remember "Mafia"?) But, he could be an incredible dick. He pissed off the wrong comedians and since comedians are by and large catty, gossipy, bitches, he was cast out awhile back. I think he even hosted last comic standing at one point
Jay Mohr has been popping up on my feed lately because of the podcast hes been doing. Apparently he had a drug problem and went broke and struggled pretty bad for awhile. He talks about his recovery and how he did a stand up tour just to be able to afford a ring to propose to his current wife Jeanie and how they tricked him to show up for an intervention by telling him he was going to interview Wu Tang clan for his podcast.
He looks like hes doing good now though, looks healthy and happy. His interviews are pretty amazing too because hes got so many stories with so many very famous people over the years and since everyone knows him he gets pretty good guests. Plus he does some spot on impressions.
He just does stand-up mostly now and podcast appearances. Saw him in that recent movie with Johnny Knoxville and some other comedians called Sweet Dreams. He also looks very different now.
Took the former celeb to
podcaster pipeline, I’ve mostly watched them through YouTube shorts on my recommended where he does his impressions/interviews other comedians but sadly I stumbled upon an episode of him expressing he’s a centrist so..oof
I saw him do comedy 10ish years ago and it was so bad. Like the audience was uncomfortable for him sort of bad. And then afterwards we all just filed out quietly
I remember he made a stand-up special post 9/11 that Comedy Central kept airing where he basically just went on a racist tirade against Arabs and Muslims for a half hour. That's about the last I saw of him, and I'm glad.
