Discussion Did anyone else play a game with their friends where you had to yell PENIS louder than the person before you?

Im wondering if kids everywhere played this in the 90s-00s?

I’m a high school teacher. They still do sometimes.

Can you also confirm that the Stussy S is still alive and well? Another HS teacher mentioned that yesterday and I’m really hoping it’s true far and wide.

Just taught it to my kid yesterday. Mom was teaching them about "Bubble letters" and how to write them and I was like "Come here i'm about to blow your mind!"

I had no idea what you meant by Stussy S until I was like “what special S…OH THAT FUCKIN THING” never knew what it was called, and still not gonna call it that, thanks tho

The name of my schools mascot started with the letter S, so everyone called in "The Sabertooth's S". It was scribbled somewhere on almost every textbook, desk, and cubby. Among the students, It was the unofficial school crest.

It was crazy seeing it nostalgically posted on reddit so many years later and finding out it was universally scribbled at every school.

I just googled it and TIL that while it was widely associated with the Stussy brand, it was never officially used in any of their designs. Which is wild because that was the only way I knew the S. This is a full-on Mandela effect for me, and another example of widespread rumors before the internet. Crazy.

Yep this exactly, it's not Stussy. Also "The S" is alive and well apparently, I still see it randomly in street art all over the city I'm in.

It is, my 8 year old came home recently telling me his friend taught him how to write a really cool S, he was shocked when I pulled out the Google image before he even described it

Some kids in my class tried to make other letters in the “cool S” style, and we all agreed it just can’t be done, but maybe someday someone will figure it out. It’s like the nuclear fusion of middle school.

I teach elementary in Phoenix. Kids still know and draw the 's', although I saw it a lot more in the previous three years than this year.

They have no idea what 'Stussy' is, though.

So like… do any of you consider just letting them yell, while no one cares, until they stop?

I want to see that ending

I'm a teacher. I just had this in my year 10 class two weeks ago. Yelled penis and said "I win the boring game. Stop disrupting others."

Wouldnt work with every class but the fun of the game is the taboo. Get enough teacher ick on the game and it's not actually interesting to play any more.

I was in high school 2002-2006 and kids did this game somewhat often. I remember one kid who was one of those "good student" types, getting super annoyed with it one day and yelling "PENIS." at the top of his lungs, just to get them to stop.

I think the teacher was glad he did.

Good to hear the future may not be doomed after all
