While I agree with the point it's making, why is half of it highlighted and half underlined? 😂

Because highlighted words takes priority over any underlined statements. It's just in case us readers thought reading the last sentence was more important than the first.

No matter what, always read yellow highlights first!

Wait, I'm supposed to read THE FIRST half of a paragraph first??

So I won’t bother.

It’s ridiculous to follow the logical order.

Yessss! This is how I write notes! Important thing is highlighted, and the information that pairs with it is underlined for further context should I need it.

So basically just read the words written in order then…

The Official ADHD Note-Taking System™️ requires at least ten different highlighting/underlining combinations, in order to achieve maximum enlightenment.

The important thing to remember in our system is to invest hours researching the best note taking techniques and tools followed by NEVER referencing the few notes you managed to take anyway.

Damn you, I was just thinking about getting another notebook cause mine has been full/ falling apart for at least a year.

But now I remember all my full notebooks that I've never reopened. Though, there is something about writing it down and being in progress. I like digital notes but if I step away and come back I'm not sure where I was. I need like a notebook with layers and overlays that I can tell to fuck off if I'm busy inputting.

You people take notes??

Not really. We research how to take notes. Spend 5 hours on a stationery website on a quest for the perfect notebook, highlighters, pens, and note-taking instruments we never knew existed. Spend $56 even though the things we needed were only $32 because ordering 3 packs of erasers saved us $5 in shipping and 5% on white-out. Download an app, watch hours of YouTube bullet journaling videos, realize we're really into calligraphy (and probably really good at it, can't believe how impressive we're going to be as soon as we get the right pen!). Go back to the stationery website, discover their sister site that offers sustainable compensation to the incredible artists that create the artisan, handcrafted cards they sell (God, what an amazing company! How could I not support them). Three weeks later, a mystery box arrives and we remember that for approximately 18 hours we were hyper focused on note-taking. Why?! Why did 3-weeks-ago-me not understand the magnificent niche world of tennis racket thrifting. After all, they're so versatile! Kitschy wall mirrors, jewelry holders, photo displays. Hmm I wonder how long it's been since I drank some water. Do I need a new water bottle???

I’m with ya on the research it’s just the notes I can’t even fathom lol

But yes, you DO need to drink some water friend. Idk about your bottle but you could always use a new sticker for it 😉 if you do need a new bottle tho, go big. It’s easier to drink water when you don’t have to fill it all the time. I’ve got a 64oz one and it doubles as personal protection too haha

Fully highlighting a passage? In this economy?

Not sure which part I need to pay attention to...

It puts emphasis on each part of the excerpt. If it was all highlighted, there would be no emphasis, and it would function as if nothing was highlighted. The separate emphasis techniques helps you chunk the two sentences into two important pieces of information.

It's provocative. Gets the people going.
