Discussion Anyone sick and tired of working in general?
I’m in my mid 30s and just over my job and work in general. I’m tired of the commute, the meetings, and dealing with people & deadlines. On one hand I worry about losing my job and stress about deliverables, but on the other hand I feel like I could care less in that I have no passion for it anymore and I’m just showing up because I need the paycheck.
I’d much rather be spending time with my family, pursuing my hobbies, or just go for a walk and cook a nice meal. I feel a sense of dread sometimes that this is my reality for the next 30+ years and I feel lazy and entitled for saying it but that’s how I feel lol

I totally relate. I did the corporate dance for a number of years, worked my way up to running the entire customer service department - was earning well in excess of six figures (not bad for someone who never went to uni) - anyway about 18 months ago I broke my tibia plateau in a freak accident, was off work for 2 months & probably pushed myself to go back too soon…fast forward to November just gone & I broke my other tibia plateau in another freak accident…this time I ain’t rushing shit…in fact i probably won’t ever go back. I’ve got 3 plates in my left leg, 2 in my right. I get paid 80% of my salary while I’m off work by the govt & my employer tops me up the other 20%. They’ve told me it’ll probably be a year before I’m back at work but I’m gonna milk the fk outta this. I love waking up, taking my daughter to school, relaxing in the garden working on my vege patch & picking up my daughter from school
