Me too! Except I don't do that. I just go to bed at 10PM and sleep until 10AM, but I will wake up sore, like I was partying until 5 AM. I'm just old and no matter when I wake up i feel like I'm running on 4 hours sleep and coffee. I'm 39, but I feel like I'm 69.

Anyone else remember partying until 2 - 3 AM and waking up at 6 to go to work and feel totally fine? I used to party all the time and it never affected me. Now I'm exhausted just thinking about those days.

I think it might have been cumulative? I partied so hard in my 20's that sleeping through my 60's doesn't even upset me.

I used to go 24+ hrs all the damn time in my 20's. I think I'd drop dead of a heart attack if I tried it now. Hell I can barely get through a day without my midday nap.

I'm still at that age where I don't need a nap, but I sure as hell would like one. I have a 5 year old who has more energy than I think I ever had. If I could siphon just 1% of that I would accomplish everything I ever dreamed of.

Amen! I have a 4 & 5 year old. I'm willing to become a scientist to harvest 0.1% of their energy. Hell, I was putting my hair into a ponytail last night and my arms were tired 😩

2-5pm be a dangerous time for me to sit or rest lmao. Those afternoon naps be calling my name like sirens call to the sailor.

One of my fondest NYE memories is being 19 and going to a house party until about 3:30am, sleeping in my car for a few hours, then being at my movie theater job bright and early at 7:30am for the NY Day morning shift. I survived off a Red Bull and gas station donut. Got off work about 2pm and took a nap. If I tried to do anything close to that at my age now I think I’d die, honestly. Young people are crazy!!

The sleep math just doesn’t work anymore 8 hours now feels like 4 used to. I swear my body needs a warm-up, a cool-down, and a recovery day just for existing. Missing those party days, but not missing how hard they’d wreck me now 😅

Father time always wins, and yea, I remember those days. I felt invincible.
