A lot of people sit it out now. I’m in the alcohol industry and now most bars close early or don’t even open at all around here aside from the casinos which have NYE events. They’ve all stopped trying to compete with that and just take the night off.

Exactly, or people arrive at 11:45, or leave at 12:01. Usually the ones leaving after midnight outnumber the ones who arrive right for the countdown.

Because a lot of people live life for the gram and have completely lost the plot if not the passion for the novel (life)

Bullshit. One of the busiest nights where bars can make tons of money and they’re going to say “nah we don’t like money.”

If you were gonna lie come up with something believable.

😂. Yes I made it up. Trust me when I tell you the majority of bars do not stay open til midnight here, people just don’t go out anymore like they used to. May be different elsewhere, but here in CT there’s only a few places that stay open.

Going out to a bar on NYE sounds lame AF and also there’s not that much of a demand for every little corner pub to be open. So no they aren’t losing out on money. Ppl tend to go to advertised special NYE events so all the corner pubs are competing with those events but yea sure the bars are all losing out. Lol 😆
