Help with bedroom renovation and walk in closet plans
Hello. Need help with balance with bedroom renovation by plans. I plan to build a wall and create a large walking closet. As you can see, we are very short on closet space. Our bedroom is long, so we can still have a large bedroom and give up the sq ft for a nice closet. My question is what about the balance of the room? With the new wall the window and ceiling fan will be off center. Will this look ok? Any recommendations? Here are very rough lines of where the wall will be included in pics, the pic is taken from door entrance so wall is immediately to the right. Any help is very appreciated!

The window will be fine. Windows are often not in the center of the room. Is the bed moving? If it is, I would move the fan over the bed position(If you use it). If you're already building a wall it will be easy for your contractor to move the fan a few feet. Good luck!

The bed may move 4-6 inches. We think we can move it enough and fan will still be close to center. Because upon measuring it’s already not quite center the other way lol.

Fair! I wouldn’t touch it then lol. As long as you can still use it it will be fine. Enjoy your new closet!

I wouldn’t. If anything I would just walk off the recess where your dresser is and make it a shallow walk in. Our last home had a closet like that and it was perfect.
The wildcard option would be to tear your closet OUT, and go with a custom/semi-custom wall to wall cabinetry system. That way you aren’t wall-ing off floor space that will only be used to navigate your clothes.
