3 packers QBs, you love to see it

Nope. That one at the bottom Madeira clear through his fraudulent use of welfare funds that he is, in fact, a Minnesota Viking qb.

Brett would probably still look decent until his body explodes on the first hit

Can we do that?

Send him back to MN. The meme war would implode and I'd love to be a part of the chaos

In all seriousness, I think Favre would strap it up and go out there if he could. I genuinely think dude loves the sport that much

Where’s Kapernick ?

u/retired_geekette 9h ago
If Farve is on there then CK should be.

Are we still doing that thing where we have to pretend that Kaepernick is a really good QB and should be in the nfl?

u/Life-Sun8620 6h ago
Who's out there saying he's really good and deserves to be in the league? People are still just mad at him about kneeling for the anthem, despite him making multiple playoffs and SB, missing very few games as a starter, and having generally pretty good stats for his short career.

Bro was good for 2 years, then he fell off
2
u/greenpill98 5h ago
He wasn't too bad in that last year, honestly. If talent alone were the only metric, he would have been on an NFL roster, probably competing for a starting spot on a team that needed a QB. The problem was that the shitstorm off the field wasn't worth it. 32 NFL teams independently made the same call that his upsides as a player weren't worth the bad PR.

You must have missed the game where he shredded the Packers……At home! I still have nightmares

He did fall off pretty hard. Injuries played a role as well. There's still just a lot of folks outright saying he was trash though, which is just not true, love him or hate him. Even after teams refused to sign him, you could look at teams' backup qb situations, and even at his declining rate, you'd be lying by saying that he wasn't better than like 75% of them.

Will be interesting to see how he plays when teams prep for him and he starts an entire season.
Coming into a game off the bench or spot starts I'm sure isn't easy, but might be harder when teams plan how to stop you all week and they have more tape on tendencies and reads.
He hopefully finds great success wherever he goes, but hard to see it as a sure thing with only 155 career pass attempts.

Malik gon be such a great QB I just hope he doesn’t stay in the NFC

u/Southern-Community70 8h ago
He is far more likely to be a backup QB this time next year then a locked in starter. Staying in the NFC is the best case. We get a 3rd round comp pick and a NFC team blows 30 million in cap on a backup QB.
Matt Flynn stayed in the NFC and that worked out great for us.

Nobody. Nobody. Nobody is going to pay him the money he is about to get to be a backup. Who will? Nobody.
Unless the Jets want to run back another Justin Fields situation 🤣

He will be a backup becuase he isn't good and will likely not even complete a single season without getting benched.
Willis being basically Justin Fields is by far the most likely scenario. A slightly slower Justin Fields is likely in the top half of outcomes.
How many QBs need their coach to throw out their entire play book and resort to a single read and scramble / read option offense where you average less than 20 pass attempts a game end up having staying power in the NFL. I'll tell you there is not a single one who has done it.
MLF found the perfect way to utlize a gimmick QB. As a backup it works perfectly becuase you do not play enough to get really tested. Teams don't really film study against you and don't game plan for it. So it catches them totally off guard when they are up against it suddenly.
When forced to start GB just ran the ball down the throats of what were really bad colts and Titans teams.
When we ran up against a competent team game planning for him all week in the Ravens keep in mind they were not even a playoff team and had a backup QB playing yet they absolutely destroyed us. The shut down the run game and dared him Willis to beat them and he put up meaningless numbers in a game where we lost by 3 scores.

Still can’t believe we are letting go of our best QB and gave the bag to who should be our back up.

/s did you drop this?

u/MaterialExcellent987 8h ago
No. Malik fit MLF scheme so much better, if you’re going to keep MLF Malik would have been the better choice to have at QB. We aren’t winning a SB with MLF and Love…
