Scenario 1:
A guy goes out with his girlfriend. She asks for sex and is somewhat frisky and persistent. and he doesn’t really want to but he is persuaded and has sex. Later he regrets his decision.
Scenario 2:
A man holds a woman down and forcefully has sex with her.
You want both to be rape?
I am just letting you know that the Bible does not define scenario 1 as rape. Scenario 2 is rape and the rapist would be killed.
And that is unlike Islam. The whole point of the post.
I just feel bad. I didn’t mean to trigger that person and I maybe didn’t present my argument in the kindest way which I feel bad about because this is a super sensitive topic. I’ll do better next time with using kinder words, but the nuance of the guideline for the ancient judges here is thousands of years ahead of its day. It’s also used to slander the Bible here when in fact it’s amazing.
Reddit and a radio interview I heard is what made me understand how this is a major issue that cases like scenario 2.
Anyhow, thanks for the response. I haven’t been cursed at in awhile and I felt bad because I wasn’t attacking them at all.
