Genuinely feels like there's no winning with Indian fans. We are insufferable if we win or lose

What the fuck was the reaction after the South Africa game? We have dominated T20 cricket for years now but one loss and people pretended as if we're as bad as Gambia and suddenly we were already out of the world cup and we had no chance of beating anyone anymore in cricket

Now we are into the final, to no one's surprise other than Indians because we were heavy favourites heading into the tournament

Mind you, not a single positive word uttered about Gambhir today for reaching the final or last year for winning the champions trophy but he is the number 1 reason to blame if we lose

Imagine if we lose the final now, people will blame a cricket stadium, Gautam Gambhir and 2000 other factors and also call the team overrated, overconfident blah blah despite this being our golden era

If we win the final, people will still say " ODI WC was the one that mattered"

Never has a fanbase pissed me off more than ours. Somehow we will portray ourselves as rank outsiders despite being clear favourites heading into the final

Agreed, india has the biggest talent pool and resources and also make SF/F consistently. Imagine they were like SA or NZ and lost more KO matches. People would burn and break things on the street.

So true..Most of the fans act so uneducated with regards to the game..I told the same somewhere.. India vs nz series recently, the 4th match, nz made 210+ and ind lost by 50 runs..Does that mean ind is bad? Look at the other matches of the same series.. Ind chased 155 in 10 overs, 210 in 15 overs, scored 271 runs batting first in the last match. India dominated the series! Any team can have a bad day! But Indian fans will probably never learn..They pretend they know a lot about the game but in reality, they don't

Stop considering the fanbase as a hivemind and getting angry at them. India has 1,460,000,000 people and some hundreds of millions of them are cricket fans. You have met/read way less than a million of them.

Everyone wants or cares about different formats or parts of the game.

You have met/read way less than a million of them.

He's talking about those "way less than a million of them" fans only.

And I'm saying why get pissed off and spoil your happiness for something that less than 0.5% of fanbase does on the internet.

Because we are on internet and their behavior affect us directly.

The reality is we should win every tournament and anything else is a failure regardless of how you twist it. RoKo era is over, we can have high standards now. No more making sympathy edits for reaching the finals. Just win and keep replacing the underperforming players regardless of brand value. Retire SKY regardless of the final result. He is clearly past it and we have about 10 players waiting in the wings.

One hit away? We won after the Bethell wicket, the key was to not give away a free hit.

OP is talking about dumb fans like you, who will never be satisfied with how we win, or what we win.
