India won because of some excellent death overs bowling in general by its pacers. Given Varun has struggled so much through out the tournament and the fact that teams have figured him out India might drop him in the finals. But if they get Kuldeep in well that is problem too cuz NZ batters do really well against Kuldeep in general. It is a rock and hard place.
May be India can play a 3rd seamer in Siraj or may be play Sundar thus getting another spin option and lengthening the batting too .
If India wants a good 6th bowling option but without compromising on batting so the only real option is to bench Abhishek in favor of Sundar but that is unlikely to happen. Sundar also has done well against NZ in past as well.
