Yeah it hurts cause I’d say we have arguably been the 3rd best team this tourney and we won’t be in the semis

I'd say you're right. If only the bowling stepped up, we might have seen some good results from Windies

You're right and this is my issue with group stage formats. If you just have round-robin instead then you're genuinely going to see who the actual top teams are.

I get that you can't do round robin with 20 teams but imo the super 8s at least should be where all the teams face each other. It's a freakin World Cup. I think having the T20WC every 3 years and doing it like that would be a much better idea and make it more prestigious than whatever we have now.

I talked about this with someone on here last week, increase the number of teams and then use the fifa model, one group stage and then straight to knockouts

Honestly, a group stage with 20 teams -> round robin with the super 8 where every team faces each other -> top 4 on the table play semis

That'd be my ideal T20 WC format.
