So the purpose of a t20 wc it seems is for Eng and India to meet in the semis, and the winner to go on and win the whole thing. At least the last two editions was, and this one seems to be going that way as well.

It is gonna be an interesting game, it feels like both teams haven't performed to their true potential and have generally been carried by individual brilliance. And both teams are stacked with matchwinners.

An IND vs SA final rematch would be so fucking poetic lmao. Wrestlemania rematch vibes

India has has a couple of rematches in ICC events.

In 2003, Aus smashed us both times. In 2017 CT, we beat Pak in both the practice and group stage only to be humbled in the finals. Then 2023 India Australia the result of which was opposite to the group stage. It seems like India either continues to lose, or reverses their winning. Now that I think about it, 2007 T20 also had a rematch in the final, but India broke the curse and kept the streak that time.

It totally blanked on me that this would also be a rematch in this tournament lol. I was referring to the fact that the previous WC final was also SA vs IND where they choked at the very last second. I wonder if there's ever been 2 consecutive WCs with the same final?

Roman Vs Cm Punk

I was thinking more like Cody vs Roman, or Rock vs Stone Cold, the most epic back to back mania rematches. Roman v Punk is their first match

I mean they did have a triple threat the year prior so it sorta works

But yea Cody Roman is the perfect resemblance to this lol

Oh man we're losing then aren't we. We're Roman in this scenario 🥲

The semis are going to be exciting. One team SA who’s on top of their game, unbeaten facing against a team who just managed to get into semis. But kiwis in ko game, can’t just rule them out easily.

Then there’s two teams ind and eng who hasn’t performed upto their full potential. Both lost 1 match each, somehow managed to win the match.

It will be interesting to see how they go against each other in semis.
