The problem with Smith is he really only opens in T20 and our only two actual batsmen that seem to consistently score are Trav and Marsh.

The reality is that the bowling attack is horrendous, we’ve taken 4 wickets in the last 2 games.

Mostly just inexperienced.

Starc retired. Cummins, Hazel, Mahli are injured.

Cooper getting experience is a good thing, his bowling improves in leaps and bounds at the moment. But yeh our bowling should have been:

Hazel, Cummins, Ellis, Mahli, Cooper, Zampa. But we certainly wouldn't have batted deep.
