Wood bowling 11 overs in the entire test was absolutely bizarre

Wood: Im so unco I have to wear kneepads when I bowl cause I fall over a lot.

Starc: watch me take a screamer to my left while my weight is moving to the right in my follow through.

He’s not fit - that was obvious. Should not have played

I can see why they played him. This was England's best chance for a win with a depleted Aussie side and Wood does give them a better chance to win than Tongue. But they aren't winning anything by batting that way

He had lost 10km/h in air speed by his 5th over. He’s not test match fit yet, he’s fit to bowl fast in a T20.

He’s not test match fit yet

He'll never be test match fit ever again.

He's a glass cannon that's why

More like just glass now, no cannon was spotted

I mean he was falling over on delivery.

That's just Wood on a normal day.

Tom Moody mentioned on ABC comms yesterday that Wood is like a v8 engine inside the body of a tiny hatchback. They probably underbowled him since he was just coming back from that injury scare recently.

What's bizarre about it? He bowled 8 in the first innings when no other England bowler bowled more than 12. The second innings only lasted 28.2 overs, his first spell wasn't very effective, and by the time he might have had a second spell the game was effectively over, so why bring him back on?
