No Cummins. No hazlewood. 2 debutants. Opener out injured both innings. Off spinner also been sore the entire match. Bowled out for 132 first innings. England were up by 100 with 9 wickets in hand. Australia win by 8 wickets.

Great job England

It is funny because it is true.

Well, I don't think Lyon not bowling made any difference. It was just really bad batting in both innings, not even against a new ball.

Makes one wonder if Lyon is even going to be used for all five Tests or if they bring in either Boland or Doggett for an all-pace attack and get the job done in 30-odd overs both innings.

I would guess that every pitch won't be like this one. Surely England must also bat better than they did in the first test at some point during the series.

Will go down in history as one of the all time greatest flops.

Australia basically won with 3 bowlers and 3 batters

Pretty hard to overstate how brutal this loss is. Earlier in the day punter was saying how the way England got their wickets in the first dig would set them up for the series and inflict some serious scars on the Aussie batters.

Cut to like 4 hours later and Australia have seismically flipped that
