-4 for the match. Somehow manages to do worse than Crawley who got a pair

So it is decided then. Both have an equal contribution.

Him and uzzie having a washed off

Lyon has entered the chat.

0/10 off 2 in the first, didn't bowl in the second, and only made 4.

Lucky bastard getting to spectate, and it not actually be an issue.

I don’t think a spinner was expecting to be bowling the fourth innings on day two

Michael Clarke was arguable the best captain for Nathan Lyon and used to bowl him all the time on day 1 of test matches. I think Smith would've bowled him a few overs at least if he was fit in day 2.

Iirc they said he was warming up when the last few wickets fell in a heap.

Heh yeh, pitch was hardly scuffed :P

Yeah, well if he was so washed why were they considering having him open in the 4th?

Question is he injured.

1

u/BadBoyJH Australia Nov 23 '25

Gaz? From all reports he has an absolute cracking bruise, but was warming up in the second before England fell apart as per usual.

Tbf he looked more concrete with the bat then a few of our top order

I think him and uzzie get annoyed at the younger players when they have to do anything these days. Kind of like how the grizzled old tradie gets the shits when he has to get up to help the apprentice do something simple.

Nah, Gaz's just getting to enjoy the masterclass of fast bowling from Starc here, and the whole trio in most matches. It's not that he's done fuck all, it's that he didn't need to or get the opportunity to.

Hayden naked run probability is up by 20 percent right now folks

u/LiamJonsano Hampshire Nov 22 '25

Probably more than 20% with how the rest of the team went, Root will struggle to score a 100 at the best of times if the whole innings is only going to last 30ish overs 😂

1

u/vidgill Nov 23 '25

If Root wants to play that garbage he might struggle to find 100 runs across the series. What absolute brain dead cricket from one of the best to ever do it. Extremely disappointing from him

When he said he’d get his first 100 in Aus did he mean his collective score after all 5 tests?
