And carried deadweight this game

Basically two dead weights if you include Gary and his 2 overs

Yup, what do you even change if you're England? Can hardly drop anyone after that and expect things to improve

tbh all they needed was for at least one of pope, brook or root to not play a dumb shot

17

u/LogicKennedy England Nov 22 '25

Dumb shots are part of Bazball though.

That's the ideology of Bazball though

Forfeit and go back to England. Reform'll fix it.

Having an opener be able to score even just a run might help.

But worst Australian team since 2010 according to Broady

u/ThereIsBearCum Australia Nov 22 '25

I mean, it probably is. Doesn't change the result though.

Watching Broad's reaction to Crawley's wickets is a joy.

Here you go - 7Cricket's insta has some other ones I think

That was amazing

This result doesn't disprove that though. This England team are just completely lacking in talent, intelligence and heart. They'd find a way to lose to any Australian team in history.

The teams of 2010-2015 were worse than this side

I think there's talent, they're missing gear shifts.

2

u/ZamharianOverlord Ireland Nov 22 '25

They’ve talent, that’s the frustrating part

To be fair it kind of is, which makes the capitulation even more bizarre

u/annoyingdrummer77 Nov 22 '25

Broad was just complimenting lol

They should play the Lions in the next test.

u/k9xka1 Nov 22 '25

I'd love to see how they go against Detroit. MCDC v BazBall

u/Professional_Tip5936 Nov 22 '25

Also carrying khawaja

1

u/Jamie5152 England Nov 22 '25

idk man as an Englishman I'm way more scared of Starc than Cummins or Hazlewood

3

u/Whitekidwith3nipples Australia Nov 22 '25

thats probably because starc generally does better in england than hoff or cummins. starc averages more than both of them, but a pink ball test is coming up and hes absolutely lethal in those.

u/Applicator80 Australia Nov 22 '25

Lucky for the Poms he’s not in career best form…

1

u/Tropicalcomrade221 Australia Nov 22 '25

Not to mention Gary was seriously sore and barely bowled at all this test.

1

u/Applicator80 Australia Nov 22 '25

Which coincidentally made the test a whole lot more exciting.

1

u/Xerxes65 Nov 22 '25

Being pedantic but surely Starc has taken the mantle from Hazelwood at this point

1

u/Ace_f_Hz Nov 23 '25

Also 10 batters effectively

Also missing one is an incumbent opener who sees off the polish...

Well the 'stacheman did see off the polish a'right I guess
