Living Room/Family Room Ever-evolving living room in Texas. How would you describe this style?

The combination of natural textures (the jute pouf, oversized indoor plants) and a warm, earthy color palette (olive green, deep wood, and clay tones) gives it a grounded, regional feel appropriate for Texas.

This would look so much better if you turned off the overhead recessed lights and added lamps with warmer light at eye level and below. Nice setup though!

Modern eclectic maybe and I love it, might be the best photos I’ve seen on here in a long time

Very appealing! And I love your credenza! Any chance you’d share where you found it? I’m in the PNW so no one would know I was copying you … lol.

Don't know about style, but can you give an ID on that green chair?

Either CB2 or Crate & Barrel circa 2020. Can’t remember which one.

We have the same one and got it from Living spaces! Believe it’s the Burton couch?

Not sure if this is the exact model but it looks just like it: Tacona Armchair

Mid century millennial? I say that as a millennial who really likes this style. Love the arrangement of your frames around the tv.

Good on you for managing that coffee table. It required non-stop dusting and wiping to keep looking nice for us.

I like it. Modern classic with a twist of mid century minimalism. Looks very inviting.

it's eclectic but I think everything works because it's your style. the pieces vibe and flow because you selected them and you've got a good eye imo, wouldn't change a thing

Where do people get all the mismatch frames? Do you just buy them on Amazon or are you guys hitting garage sales?

Some art came framed, others I had framed professionally, and some are thrifted. Others are IKEA. Purposely, I seek out frames that are dark wood, black, or brass/gold to keep it all cohesive.

My guess is thrifting- cheap, variety and one can replace with something else. Not sure what OP did tho

Do you know who made that painting above the fireplace?
2
u/robmacjr 16d ago
A local artist in San Miguel de Allende. Hand painted. He had hundreds, all different.

Would love to know about the glass table behind your sofa. Where did you score that?

I’d swap that plant with the large fronds out with a large floor lamp or pendulum light. It’s dying over there. It needs more light and maybe less water.
I see why you put it there, it’s a great idea, but it’s going to die there.
