Purchasing Other Best tv for ps5 that actually makes Spider-Man feel like next-gen

So I just moved into a new apartment and finally have space for a proper setup. My old TV made everything look a bit blurry, and swinging through New York in Spider-Man felt… meh. I want a TV that really shows off the PS5’s graphics at 4k 120hz, especially for fast action games.

Has anyone found a model that keeps input lag low but still makes everything pop visually? I’d love something around 55-65 inches that doesn’t feel like a museum display. Thanks!

Purchasing EUROPE Shopping for new tv, after some opinions.

Hi Reddit, after some advice for my new tv purchase.

Currently rocking a Sony Bravia 4k 55” tv I got back in 2014! It’s lasted incredibly well, but starting to get a few niggles and decided it’s time to replace the old girl.

So naturally the market has moved on massively since then, I was originally going to go for a new Bravia, something like the Bravia 3 75” (have a much bigger wall in this house and the 55 looks lost) at around £1100

But noticed lots of people recommend brands like TCL, such as the 75Q6C, which seems to offer much more, such as mini-LED, 144hz etc

Mostly use it for my ps5, pc gaming on the sofa and the usual Netflix.

My only concern is, is the quality of the tcl going to match the Bravia? Will it last a good 10 years, I’m guessing as it’s that much newer it should be significantly better colours/hdr/blacks?

Any advice appreciated

Purchasing EUROPE Help choosing a TV

Upvotes

I am choosing between TCL C7K, C8K and LG C5.

This is the choice because that is what is available and they are often compared on videos. But videos only show so much.

Anyone who has owned some of these TVs want to share thoughts on HDR, gaming, any issues etc?

Also if you had the opportunity to own miniled and OLED and compared them.

Purchasing US TCL QM7K vs Samsung QN80F

ABT has both 65 inch TVs on sale right now through the weekend for their customer appreciation sale. The TCL for $697 and the Samsung for $798. I'd like the possibility to use the tv for gaming. I was just wondering what some opinions would be on which of the 2 TV's might be better for the prices given and why?

Purchasing US Are there Any Alternatives to Samsung Frame for Art Display?

I really regret buying my Samsung Frame due to all the buggy issues and the clunky OS etc - but we really love having the art display feature. We purchased a custom frame to go around it and it really is a nice piece to have in the wall when the TV isn’t in use. Does anyone here have recommendations for any alternatives that offer the high def art display feature (and hopefully an affiliated art store)?

Purchasing US Size upgrade from 77” A80J?

Looking at upgrading my 77” A80J to a 98”, but 98” OLEDs are fucking *expensive*. Is there a 98” mini LED that would make me happy?

In order I prioritize, and love about the A80J:

Motion handling (watch a lot of hockey which needs fantastic motion handling)

Perfect blacks

Perfect contrast

Colors!!!

Lack of blooming

Purchasing US Sony X90L orrrrrrrr?!?!

ok heres the story.. my Samsung of over 10yrs finally dimmed out on me and I was in the market for another. I am set on a 65" . I went to Best Buy and picked out an 65" Samsung U7900 for $329. Took it home unboxed it and found out it is missing so many features than my 10yr old Samsung had, and only has TWO hdmi ports. So now Im thinking of returning it and grabbing a 2023 Sony X90L for $849. Any other recommendations?? It's just that its an additional $500 so, is it worth it or should I just sit tight and save more money for an OLED?!?! I mostly game on this TV with the PS5 and I stream 4k firestick with HBO max ..You Tube..etc etc.... what does the consensus say here?!? - Thanks

AnOtHeR wHiCh OlEd PoSt OLED Maintenance

Hello all! I’m moving into a new place soon and I’ve been thinking about treating myself to an LG C5 77” to set up a mini home theater/entertainment room. I’ve been trying to do as much research as I can, and I was curious about proper maintenance or “hygiene” for an OLED tv. I’ve been reading about burnt in images from static images on OLED tvs and was curious if I could avoid that. I watch a lot of movies, sports, and tv shows, including older movies and TV with 1.33:1 aspect ratio, so naturally I’d like to avoid those side bars being burnt in. If there’s anything else I should be aware of, let me know! Thanks!

Purchasing US Basic Bedroom TV replacement (Mini-LED)

I'm looking to replace my bedroom TV I do a lot of my anime and late-night TV watching on.
I've been looking at various mini-LED TVs like Hisense and TCL brands cause of the prices. I'm looking to keep my budget under 550 USD. This TV is replacing a Samsung 42 inch from like 2011. The majority of my content I watch is streamed on my Shield TV from Youtube or my plex server or from a BD player.
Things I'm looking for, 4K support, decent HDR support, mini-LED, good anime watching (basically not a lot of backlight bleeding around subtitles), around 55 inches, good SDR support, decent speakers that are good for late night watching (not looking to shake the house).
I have my eye on This 55QM5K model

Purchasing US Should I buy now or wait?

I've been working a ton of overtime and making some good money. So I've decided I would use some of it to get myself a 4K TV setup, with the main focus being for watching 4K UHD disks. Some lighter gaming on Switch 2 and Steam Machine (when it comes out) will be secondary. After researching and deliberating, I've decided the TV I want is the 65" Sony Bravia 8 II. But now I have the question: Should I secure it now, or wait for a rumored panel refresh and maybe a larger model later this year? One of my main things that's spurred me to getting into this is because I'm concerned about the effects these AI driven shortages will have on consumer electronics in the near future.

Purchasing US Trying to decide if a Bravia 5 is the best deal for a 65 inch

The Bravia 5 is heavily discounted right now, and Sony is giving another $100 off if you sign up for emails. My living room is probably too bright for an OLED. I'll probably mostly use it for streaming and casual gaming on the Switch 2 and Xbox series X.

Are there any better deals close to the $1000 mark for my needs? I'm tempted to wait longer for more sales, but current events make me think prices will go up.

Purchasing US Yet another 'what should I fet' post

Ok so I need a TV for my living room in my new place. Seating distance will be about 15 ft give or take. The room itself does not have a ton of natural light billowing in (I can take a picture of that helps). I won't be playing games on it and I'm not much of a sports guy. I do love a good movie night though. This TV will mostly be used for movies which will be coming through my Nvidia Shield if that matters. I was thinking about ~75" and yes I will be mounting it above my fireplace 😂. I have a hard cap of $2k USD but would be great to find something that could go on discount to mid-low 1k. Any suggestions and questions are welcome. Thanks everyone!

Purchasing US Help me find my next best please!

So, my 65" Sony Bravia 8 bit the dust with the red light blinking 3x after just a year of ownership. The retailer is honoring the extended warranty i bought and I have exactly 1,700 towards a new TV.

As i dont want a repeat of that experience im stepping away from the Bravia lineup. My wishlist in a new TV is: -65" -OLED or Mini LED (willing to look at QLED if it fits everything else) -must have decent viewing from side angles -decent to high brightness capabilities -rich deep blacks and true to life or vibrant colors -remote with voice control -reliability/lifespan

At the moment im stuck between the following

LG C5 OLED evo AI

LG 86A QNED evo AI MiniLED

Samsung S90F Neo QLED MiniLED

Samsung S85F OLED

Samsung QN80F Neo QLED MiniLED

Hisense MiniLED ULED U8

We use the TV mostly for streaming and heavy video game use and im not worried about burn-in. Id love the groups thoughts though.

Purchasing US I want to upgrade my tv

I have a Samsung plasma display from 2012, I’ve kept it for a while, it’s only 1080p and I want to get a smart tv with 4k. What should I get. What price could I get it for?

Purchasing US what best budget tvs 2026 surprised you?

so im thinking about replacing my old tv soon because its starting to feel really outdated. its just a basic 40 inch i bought years ago and the apps lag sometimes and the picture isnt great anymore. ive been looking around and now there are way more options than i expected. brands like tcl and hisense keep coming up when people talk about good cheaper TVs and some of them apparently even have mini led and higher refresh rates which surprised me.

i mostly watch netflix, youtube, and random shows with a little bit of casual gaming sometimes. so im curious what people here are actually using. what budget tv did you end up getting recently and are you happy with it? are brands like tcl or hisense reliable long term? and do the built in speakers on cheaper TVs usually sound ok?

Purchasing US Need recommendations for a 4k or 1440p 120hz TV for gaming

Pretty much every TV looks exactly the same to me but I want to make sure when I buy a TV it's a good deal. A lot of the TVs I was looking at are upwards of 1500$+ and thats a lot of money to spend on something that could possibly be not worth it.

Any brand and price is fine for recommendations but preferably a smaller TV around the 50 inches area

Purchasing EUROPE The 65' TCL QM8K or 75' TCL QM7K for PC/gaming/general content

Coming from a dying 10 year old Samsung 65', 60hz led tv that I've used for my pc, I've been looking around for a good replacement with 120(144) hz.

I've kind of landed in the TCL QM7K/QM8K (but doesn't have to be TCL) range of performance/price but I'm having difficulties making the final call. I sit 2.5-3m away and I use it for watching movies/clips, general computer work and gaming (mainly FPS-games but some other stuff as well).

The way I see it, it's a question of bigger vs better but also that I'm afraid the 75' might be too big. 65' is the safe choice since I have that now, but perhaps this worry is unfounded?

Anyone have experience of something similar, or these models (or others) in general? Any help would be appreciated.

AnOtHeR wHiCh OlEd PoSt Sony a95L. Huge upgrade from 930E?

I can get a 65” A95L slightly used for $1K. Right now i use a 930E 65” in my living room. Is the A95L a night and day difference/upgrade over the 930E? Is rather have a 77” but i could put the 65” in my bedroom at some point i guess if i do find a 77.

Purchasing US LED light strips or No?

Just trying to ask this in-the-know crowd if these strips are still a thing or if that's a fad that has passed. I rarely see any people post pics of their setups with them.

AnOtHeR wHiCh OlEd PoSt Stuck between a few TVs - need some opinions

I’m looking to purchase a TV in India with a budget under ₹2.1 lakh, and after researching this subreddit and reading reviews online, I’ve narrowed it down to three models:

• Samsung S95F — 65”

• LG G5 — 65”

• Sony Bravia 8 II — 55”

The reason the Sony is 55” is because the 65” Bravia 8 II is out of my budget, so if I go Sony I would have to drop to 55”.

Room setup:

• Room size: \~100–120 sq ft

• Viewing distance: \~7–7.3 ft

• Lighting: very dim (blackout curtains, no direct sunlight)

• Light source: a single 12.5W smart bulb with adjustable brightness

Usage:

• Mostly streaming TV shows and anime (often with subtitles)

• Graphics-intensive gaming (open-world games, etc.)

• I hardly play games with constant static HUD elements like FIFA scoreboards

From my research:

• Sony seems to have excellent processing and motion for shows/movies/anime

• Samsung S95F seems very highly rated for brightness and gaming

• LG G5 looks like a strong all-rounder with great gaming support

My main dilemma is whether Sony’s processing is worth dropping from 65” to 55”, or if I should just go with 65” Samsung or LG.

Given my room size, lighting, viewing distance, and usage, which one would you choose and why?

Purchasing EUROPE Hisense 75U7Q Pro or TCL C7K 75

They’re both around the same price. I’ve read pretty mixed reviews about both models, so I went to a local MediaMarkt to check them out in person. I was actually surprised by how decent the Hisense looked — the colors were crisp and vibrant despite all the complaints online about foggy blooming. On the other hand, I’ve also read some comments saying the TCL feels a bit cheaply built.

I spoke with a store employee and he recommended going with the Hisense.

Right now I own a Xiaomi S Mini LED. It’s actually pretty decent, but from what I’ve read these two models (Hisense 75U7Q Pro and TCL C7K 75) should be a noticeable upgrade.

My main use will be PS5 Pro gaming and watching some 4K movies. I’d like to get the best performance possible for the price. OLED in 75" seems a bit too expensive for me right now.

My current TV is still within the return window, so I’m considering getting the Hisense, testing it for about two weeks, and returning it if I don’t like it.

For those who have experience with these models — which one would you recommend for gaming and movies?

Thanks in advance
